ABOUT

Parent. Trustee. Administrator. Strategist.
Latte Enthusiast.

If there is one thing I’ve learned in 20+ years
of working with independent schools, it’s this:
Theory is great, but execution is everything.

I am a consultant, yes. But I am also a “lifer” in every sense of the word.
I understand the unique ecosystem of independent schools because
I haven’t just studied them from the outside — I live them.

I bridge the gap between high-level strategy and day-to-day reality because I’ve been the administrator trying to meet enrollment goals, the consultant analyzing the data, the Trustee voting on the budget, and the parent schlepping sodas at the concession stand.

When you work with me, you get that full perspective.

100+ Schools.
20+ Years.
1 Clear Mission.

My career has been defined by a focus on connection — connecting schools to their families, and connecting strategy to practice.

I began my independent school career as an Annual Fund Director, followed by roles as Director of Communications and Director of Admissions & Marketing. This first-hand experience in the “trenches” of school administration informs every plan I build today.

For over 15 years, I served as a consultant, workshop leader, and department head with Independent School Management (ISM). During that time, I partnered with more than 100 schools across the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

From small neighborhood schools with 50 students to established institutions with 200+ years of history, I’ve seen what works (and what definitely doesn’t). Whether I’m conducting an enrollment assessment, designing a volunteer program, or leading crisis communication planning, my approach is grounded in data and global experience, but tailored to your school’s specific culture.

I Know the View from the Boardroom.

It is easy for consultants to give advice when they don’t have to live with the consequences. I know the weight of governance because I’ve carried it.

I served as a Board member for an independent school for six years, including terms as Chair of multiple committees. I understand the delicate balance of the Board-Head partnership, and I know how to help leadership teams align their messaging and move forward with confidence.

Clear, Candid, and Practical.

I am a proud graduate of Ravenscroft School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (#GDBATH), where I earned my B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication. That journalism background shaped how I work today: I believe in asking the hard questions, listening to understand, digging for the truth, and communicating with absolute clarity.

I don’t believe in high-level reports that say nothing. I believe in practical, actionable strategies that give you the roadmap to execute.

My goal is simple: to help you connect your strategy to your daily practice, so every touchpoint — whether it’s with a donor, a parent, or an alum — reinforces the value of your mission.
